Bad in 07?

I read the news, bulletin or whatever you want to call it about 2007 being a bad year for MMO's and to be honest I was rather shocked with some of the games that were listed as a downer. The main two that made me turn my bottom lip up and say you've got to be kidding me as far as them being bad were DECO online, and AsdaStory. I completely understand that those views were simply personal oppinion, but still for them to be listed like that was rather strange in my view point so this is my ideals on the subject.

As many of you might know, or at least those who have kept up with my blogs little by little I absolutely adored DECO online and I still do to this day(though my pet is probably way passed dead <.< ) There was not one thing that I found to be upsetting about the game, the leveling was not a complete grind like most if not almost all games that came out in 2007. You know what in fact there were very few, VERY few games that came out last year that had the ability for one to ignore the grind. The only one I can think of that had this going for it was Lunia. When playing through the game you tend to forget you're trying to level unless you're obsessed with gaining that item you're onnnnneeee level away from...that gets annoying.

DECO,Asda Gold, 2moons dil, Ghost online, 9Dragons Gold, World of Kung fu, Silkroad gold, Rappelz Rupees(which I found to be boring as hell), Flyff Penya(KING OF GRINDING NEXT TO MAPLE) all of them had grind that was easily noticed. Yeah I played them all and then some I would surf the site looking for games to play and new ones to try just because I wanted to play the field so to speak.

With Asda story gold the customizing the outfits was nice, but that's not all it had to offer. I wont start on the Soul Mate system because that gets enough hype as it is and to be honest I really did like it. The skills in the game were easily set up, the graphics were nice considering it was F2P. Moving on to make my point yes there was grind, but it was not that bad, and since Asda story gold was one of the most anticipated games I highly doubt it did not live up to it's hype considering what it was competing with. When I got into the closed beta and played I did not even once get upset with the OBT. I loved it to be quite frank the game was all around fun. I did not really notice the grind unless I kept getting myself killed like a dumbass which happened from time to time.
